GELIOTECHNIKA SIRIUS

Geliotechnika Sirius, LLC - monosilicon solar panel factory in the SEZ "Alabuga". Start of production is scheduled for 2016. Production quantity will be 330,000 modules per year with installed capacity of 100 MW.

The primary target of the company is to cover the needs of the founders of Geliotechnika Sirius, LLC – Solar Systems, LLC – in solar panels, considering the fulfillment of localization requirements to provide commissioning of solar power plants under the contract of capacity supply (CSC) to the wholesale market. However, the founders are also considering the possibility of building a retail sales network and exporting to neighboring countries and beyond.

Geliotechnika Sirius, LLC will provide warranty and assistance service on delivered products under the delivery contract. In case of solar modules breakdown, a new panel will be delivered from the factory to replace the old one.

Geography

Construction of the factory will be carried out on a leased land with an area of 13 hectares in special economic zone of industrial and production type "Alabuga" located in Yelabuga municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to Mikhail Molchanov, CEO of Solar Systems, LLC, siting of a new factory in the SEZ "Alabuga" is an optimal solution for the project: "Leaders of the Republic of Tatarstan managed to create favorable conditions for Russian and international companies, not only in terms of tax and customs regulation, but also infrastructure, management and overall business climate. Our shareholder – Chinese company Amur Sirius, which may become the largest investor in Russian solar energy – is very interested in the opportunity to set up production in one of the most economically developed and politically stable regions of Russia".

Main reasons for choosing the SEZ "Alabuga":

• Proximity to target markets: there are consumers in nearby regions.
• Transport infrastructure: access to the project both by roads and railways of Russia.
• Production infrastructure: the SEZ has already electrical grid connections, sewerage, storm sewer and waste processing systems.
• Privileges: the SEZ provides a number of privileges to its residents, the most important of which are - exemption from property tax, VAT on imported equipment and reduced income tax rate.
• Social infrastructure: there are cities with attractive social and living conditions which are near the SEZ.
• Availability of construction and assembly companies: there is a number of reliable contractors. That reduces risks during construction.
• Objectively, Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions of Russia with favorable climate for business development.
