Supply of transformers to the construction site of the Samara SPP/PRESS RELEASE
20.03.2017
March 20, 2017 - the delivery of transformers to the 75 MW Samara SPP construction site was completed in full.
The new transformers, manufactured by Siemens Transformers (Voronezh), will perform a key function in the work of the Samara SPP. Photovoltaic modules collect solar energy and convert it into electricity. Power transformers increase the voltage from 10 kV (from modular inverter stations) to 110 kV and deliver "green energy" to the network.
TRDN-63000/110 transformers are developed and manufactured in accordance with the highest quality standards, as well as national and international standards (GOST, DIN, IEC, ANSI / IEEE, etc.). Lifetime is more than 30 years. In the near future, Samara VEM Co. will begin installing the transformers.
Effects of the project: - 300,000 photovoltaic modules will be installed within the framework of Samara SPP . They will generate more than 100,000 MWh/year. - 10 billion rubles – cumulative investment in the region. After the SPP starts operating at full capacity, the regional budget will receive more than 390 million rubles of tax payments. - Samara SPP will provide 75 MW of electricity to 100,000 people of the region.
Solar Systems, LLC was established in March 2014 for the purpose of construction and operation of solar power plants on the territory of Russia. The company is currently implementing projects in Samara and Astrakhan Regions. Solar power plants in Volgograd Region, Stavropol Krai and the Republic of Kalmykia are planned to be constructed in the next 3 years. Due to commissioning of 11 solar parks, total installed capacity of power systems of these regions will increase by 255 MW. Cumulative investments will surpass 33,5 billion rubles.
