PV modules first delivery to Zavodskaya SPP construction site/PRESS RELEASE
On April 08, 2017, delivery of photovoltaic modules began on the 15 MW Zavodskaya SPP construction site in the village of Volodarskiy, Astrakhan Region. Three shipments are planned for the period from April to May this year. A total of 56,626 PV modules will be delivered.
The total weight of the first tranche of PV modules is more than 500 tons. Logistics is carried out by land transport. Unloading is carried out on the specially prepared site, after which the solar modules are immediately transferred to the installation crew.
As of today, the pile field and the support structures for photovoltaic modules (more than 14,000 units) have been constructed on the territory of 27 hectares, trenches have been constructed for 0.4 kV cable lines (80% or 8,000 m), grounding (sector A by 100%, Sector E by 70%), installation and connection of inverter equipment, indoor switchgear and operational control station is underway. The planned commissioning of the station is in the third quarter of 2017.
Warranty period of each module is about 15 years, service life of the station is 25 years. Zavodskaya SPP will produce clean electricity without emission of harmful substances. Reduction of carbon dioxide emissions with absence of waste or other negative environmental impacts will be more than 3 784 tons (in comparison with coal energy facilities). The investments in the construction of the solar park in the Astrakhan region are about 3 billion rubles, for the construction period, about 50 jobs have been created. After the SPP starts to generate electricity at full capacity, the regional budget will annually receive more than 67 million rubles of tax payments.
Solar Systems, LLC was established by Amur Sirius (China) in March 2014 for the purpose of construction and operation of solar power plants on the territory of Russia. The company is currently implementing projects in Samara and Astrakhan Regions. Solar power plants in Volgograd Region, Stavropol Krai and the Republic of Kalmykia are planned to be constructed in the next 3 years. Due to commissioning of 11 solar parks, total installed capacity of power systems of these regions will increase by 255 MW. Cumulative investments will surpass 33,5 billion rubles.
